Hi Everyone!
When I was in grade school, ever once in a while they would serve coconut macaroons. They were my favorite. They were moist, chewy and oh so yummy. I have spent years looking for a recipe.
When Mary and I went to lunch the other day, she mentioned she had gone to Kneaders. She said she had the best macaroon.
This intrigued me. could it be? Will my quest be fulfilled?
so, I couldn't get it out of my mind, so I went looking for it.
They recently opened. I have been seeing advertisements for it. They even have a drive thru!
Well, I bought a few things. The bread is for Bruce and so is the cinnamon roll. the Napoleon is for Bruce and I to share. The macaroon is there in the front, with chocolate and hazelnuts! That's for me. no sharing. It was the shape I remembered. Well, I was going to take a another picture, but I took a bite and well, it was gone. It tasted just like I remember. Except the chocolate and hazelnuts. But that just made it better.
Now I need to put it out of my mind. Not a good place to go all the time. too many temptations. but they do have soups, salads and sandwiches. Mary said everything was very good. Maybe Bruce and I will go there and have something nutritious, and then take home a macaroon, that will not be shared........
hugs.....
Everything looks oh so yummy!
ReplyDeleteI love Kneaders macaroons...oh my gosh, I need one now! I don't share mine, either. :O)
ReplyDeleteI'm told that Frank at 3 Dudes Quilting is famous for his macaroons..and they sell his recipe book at the store. I haven't tried one but the peanutbutter cookies are great . :)
ReplyDeleteMaybe we will go there for lunch one day. Or that other place you rave about.
