Happy New Year

For the last few years, Bruce and I have gone to a hotel to spend New Year's Eve, New Year's day and night. we come home on the 2nd of January. It has been so relaxing and quiet. I bring my sewing machine and sew my little heart out. Bruce sleeps, watches football, goes and gets food from time to time, sleeps and watches football. after the holidays and my birthday it's just nice to veg. So here is my first UFO for 2010. it's a pattern from Me and My sister - pinafore tote. I love this pattern. It's a sample for the shop. I started it last month. This I finished on the 3rd - another Christmas quilt. this is from a magazine and I used charm squares. easy peasy and it's done!!! a great way to start the new year.......
Cindy O loves civil war fabrics. so she has been giving me her scraps for my triple Irish chain. the last group she gave me were strips. so I made 2 strip blocks. I really like them! Thanks Cindy! I made these on my new year's retreat.

The last thing I did was 7 blocks for my Triple Irish chain. don't they look pretty? there is EVERYTHING in there!!! I am going to keep track of my hours, thread spools, bobbins, and yardage this year. it will be interesting to see how that works out.

This year I want to simplify my life, get things done or finished. ORGANIZE! lol......wish me luck....
