Sacramento Crew!

Elena sent me pictures yesterday. Apparently, our little Maddy woke up quietly and found the diaper rash cream. she then painted her bedroom and herself! she does look a little pale. but still such a cutie! I am pretty sure her daddy did the same thing! Here is our GW all bundled up in his little bear outfit! His daddy's nickname was bear!

I don't know if you remember, but GW was born with a head of hair. almost looked like a wig on the little guy. Well, he is 5 months old now, and just starting to loose a little bit of hair in the back. Mom and Dad decided he needed his first haircut! So, GW now has a buzz just like Daddy!

I have been sick with whatever has been going around. YUCK! so I haven't done much sewing. just sleeping, watching a lot of TV, reading and a little bit of handwork. enough to finish all the blocks of my be attitudes quilt. Yeah!!! so the blocks are together and I just need to finish the borders. I am thinking that this quilt be one of the next quilts that go to Joann! It will be so nice to hang it in my family room.

Maddy and GWand new addition!

Ashton and Elena lost sheila a couple of months ago. she was a staffordshire bull dog. the other day Elena sent this photo of Sadie! another staffordshire, and a rescue dog too. she looks like a cutie! here our Maddy funning around! doesn't she have the best smile? she is such a happy girl. Love you sweetie!!!

Here is our little GW. still our chubba wubba. and still has all that hair! Oh how I want to kiss that face!

Jackson is the Man!

Jackson turned 7 years old! Jackson and Eva are our newest additions to our family. David, Jackson and Eva will officially be "ours" on July 22nd! Yeah!!! Jen, David and the kids came over for a visit last night. I sure do love those grandma hugs and kisses.
One more quilt to show you! this is going to be GW's quilt - Ride em' cowboy! I am calling this little guy GW, because the kids are thinking about Gideon Wayne. I think it will grow on me. for now GW is great - like GW McClintok, the character that John Wayne played. Loved that movie! This is really a very old UFO - 2002 I believe. I had all the handwork done for the longest time. then I put it away until it was needed. Ashton and Elena came for Christmas and I started thinking - hmmmmm I bet a new little one will be coming soon. I even thought that they would spring the news on us a Christmas. Well our little Maddy wasn't even a year old at the time, what was I thinking!!!! anyway, started going through my kits and UFOs and found the cowboy one. Thought it would be perfect if they were to have a boy. Well, in January they gave us the news and in March (I think) they found out it was a boy! Was Grandma on the ball! So now I just have to get the batting and backing and my friend Jodi will be quilting it for me. Whew!!!
