Oh my gosh! and Stash Report 11

I can't believe it has been so long.  So Sorry.  We have had a few adventures around here.  an ER visit, lots of Dr's appointments.  the death of a friend.  I think things are getting back to somewhat normal. Or rather normal for us.....  Thank goodness I have quilting. quilting is soothing to my soul and relaxing.  Do you find that for yourself?

I find that while I am piecing, my mind relaxes.  I can figure out things. I can put things in perspective.   I feel tension leaves me.  I am so thankful that I can have quilting in my life.  It has brought new friends into my life.  So many blessing while my hands stay busy!

ok, Stash Report time - there is lots!

Toni and I both finished the tops of the Nancy Halverson Christmas top.  We are so happy.  It took a little over a month.  not too shabby at all......  I bought this for the back....

Now I just have to get the batting and I can finish this baby!

I started this bunny face table topper.  just needs some embroidery and borders.  I hopefully will have it done by next easter....

I also started a St Pat's table runner.  it was a quilt as you go project. super simple.  I finished the top, then realized I hadn't put the backing on the back.  Poop, now what?  I think I can layer the back and do some quilting and it will be good.  but that defeats the quilt as you go thing doesn't it?

Next I finished the top to Bonnie Hunter's mystery!  yippee!!!!

I think it's 92" square.  It is a little busy for me.  I am sure I will be able to find someone who absolutely loves it.

Next up Little Woolies from the Wooden Bear.

This is May, August and July - finished!  now I have June, September, October, November and December and i will have the series done.  I have June all prepped and ready to do the handwork.  They go really fast.  why have I waited so long?  hmmm........

This is a Vicki and I project.  I had a swap with an online group.  I fell in love with these cute baskets.  I love the pattern when I first saw it.  it had no border.  I loved the simplicity of it.  I have been thinking about adding borders.  a couple of friends said to do some applique vine work with flowers.  with baskets in the corners.  I love that idea.  it would be gorgeous.  but.......  I still love the simplicity of the way it is.  Soooo, do I do the applique.  I know it would take me forever to do it.  Or finish it the way it is.  I was thinking of quilting it with a baptist fan design.  I think I will go with the simple approach.  done is best!

Well that's it for now.  it feels good to see what I have accomplished.

hugs.....
