Road to California part 1

I was fornuate to go to Raod to California this year. Marti and Cyndi and I had a road trip! we had soooo much fun. Thanks girls for the adventure. I am going to just show the quilts. once in a while I will make a comment. but the quilts were wonderful......

so, for the next few days, there will be lots of quilts from the show!

This is mine! I finished this for my redwork club. I have only had the embroidery done for almost a year.

oh boy!!!!!! lots of posts......

I am so ashamed..... I am such a bad blogger. I really do have a reason, truly! life has been so incredibly busy. This week I have been recuperating and doing nothing, nada, zip..... it's felt good. so I will be posting lots, so watch out.

I got with some friends to have a sew day. Marti treated up to lunch. yummo!!! and healthy too.... we made thread catchers!! easy and so fun to do.

and I experimented on the gals with my cupcakes. go here for the recipe. Bruce thinks this is the best cupcake recipe EVER!!!!! They really liked it and Marti's husband loved them too. Also my redwork group loved them! yum, yum! I promise they are not hot! but the longer you let them sit, the hotter they get. still not bad, but you can tell that there is chili in it. fresh, just plain oh good! let them sit a few days, and you can tell......

Cars!

gunner recieved a learning thingy computer thing for christmas. Mom thought it would be a good idea if it had a cover. so Grandma went to work! He LOVES cars! so it had to be made with this fabric of course. it turned out nice. I was happy, mom was happy and Gunner was happy. we are all good!

a BIG owie!!!!

well, we tried again for my birthday dinner. Lee called just before we were to go and said we can't come Mom..... why? on the way to the hospital. Zoe got bit by a dog. not sure how it happened, but these are the pics Lee sent me. Poor Zoe! that must have hurt soooooooo badly. and I am sure she was very scared till Daddy got there. oops! sideways pic! sorry.... but here she is with her stitches. 2 inside and 7 outside.

I can't wait to see you Zoe, to hear all about it. I think I might have to go to Zoe tomorrow and bring Popsicles!
