I love show and tell. It's my favorite thing about any quilt get together! At Charmers we had lots of inspiration . thanks gals!!! this is Judy's table runner. it's from the leftovers from another quilt. Ya did good Judy! I think this is Delva's quilt. I love Redwork! great job!

This is Marilyn's Triple Irish Chain! wow!! this is so pretty. I can't wait to finish mine!

It's Charmer Time!

Monday was Charmers. I love this little group. this is the group that we exchanged the 81 patches for the triple irish chain quilt. This is Marilyn's finished top! yeah!!!! don't you just love it? I have all the alternate blocks finished. so I will start putting them together very soon. Marilyn loved the name that Judy gave her quilt - Blame it on Lorene! so that is what she will be naming her quilt too. Not sure if she will applique in the border or not. whatever she decides, it will be beautiful!! Great Job! Judy made the X block quilt. she made a table runner with the leftovers! really interesting and a great use of leftovers!

Marilyn made the girls in the blocks on her embroidery machine. Delva put it together and Judy is holding it! I love red work anyway I can get it. love this quilt too!!!

We decided to not meet again until September or October. we all have a busy summer!

Blame it on Lorene

a while back I mentioned about a customer came in with a scrappy triple irish chain. I fell in love! I was telling my charmer group about it and we decided to do a swap. we needed 32 81 patch squares and 31 of the alternate block. now these 81 patches are 1.5" squares! Yikes, what was I thinking!!! It was MUCH harder than I thought it would be. not all my corners match correctly. but thank goodness the other ladies had the same problem. so we agreed that we would be forgiving. besides when the blocks were thrown on the floor and you step back, they looked great!!!! That darn Judy, finished her quilt!!! She showed it today at rippers. She named it "blame it on Lorene". I asked if it is my fault does that mean the quilt is mine? she didn't answer me! Judy did a wonderful job putting it together. I soooo love this quilt. mine, well, I haven't sewn for 2 weeks. we are about to start on a remodel so I have been a little busy. more on that later. Anyway, had to share the pic. be sure to click on the picture to see it better. sorry it is dark.
